APHA Awards...
The Australian Palomino Horsebreeders Association Inc. has a series of awards based on a point system, they are as follows:

High Point Awards & Horse of the Year
These are determined by the number of points on the performance cards submitted to the secretary for a show season.

High Point Yearling
Points counted from led Palomino classes.

High Point Junior
Junior Filly, Colt and Gelding.
Points counted from led and ridden Palomino Classes.

High Point Led
Stallion, Mare and Gelding.
Points counted from led Palomino classes

High Point Ridden
Stallion, Mare and Gelding.
Points counted from ridden Palomino classes

High Point Open Horse
Points counted from led and ridden open classes

High Point Horse of the Year
Points counted from both Palomino and open classes including led and ridden.

The above award points can be taken over one year only
Awards can be won more than once




Bronze - Silver - Gold - Diamond
Points may be gained over any three consecutive years.
2/3 of points must be gained in Palomino classes and
1/3 may be gained in open events.

Lifetime Achievement Award
This is a prestigious award which may be gained over the lifetime of the horse.




Junior High Point
For riders 15 years and under.
Only one rider can gain points with their nominated horse.
This horse must be adult registered with the APHA.
